Iranians in UK honor victims of Israeli strikes on Iran

Iranian expatriates in London organized a memorial honoring victims of the Israeli attack on Iran, displaying photos and names during Ashura commemorations. Over 900 Iranians were killed in the conflict, which began on June 13.

AhlulBayt News Agency: A group of Iranian expatriates in the UK set up a memorial stall in central London to honor victims of the recent Israeli military attacks on Iran.

The stall was established on Sunday, coinciding with a ceremony commemorating the martyrdom anniversary of the third Shia Imam, Imam Hussein (PBUH).

Displayed at the stall were photographs of more than a dozen Iranians killed in the attacks, along with the names of other victims inscribed on large paper sheets spread on the ground.

These names were accompanied by candles, flowers, and plaques bearing commemorative messages for public viewing.

The site also featured banners with messages such as “End Israeli Terrorism” and “Do Not Forget the Iranian Victims Killed by Israel.”

Earlier, the Iranian Embassy in London hosted a memorial ceremony attended by diplomats, UK officials, and representatives from foreign countries, who signed a condolence book for the Iranian nation.

Israel launched a surprise war of aggression on Iran on June 13, resulting in the deaths of over 900 individuals, including senior military officials, scientists, and civilians. Iran responded with extensive retaliatory strikes on occupied territories.

On June 22, the United States joined Israel in coordinated attacks on three Iranian nuclear facilities, drawing global criticism for violating international law. The 12-day offensive ended with a ceasefire on June 24.
